How Would You Like $5,000?

1.  "My contacts are getting in the way of my good time"

2.   "My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision"

3.   "You should see life after the iLASIK Procedure"

Next, submit the video to iLASIK Video Contest. Then tell all your friends and have them vote for your video. People can vote once per day until December 10.

 There will be one first prizewinner of $5,000. Three second prizewinners, one in each video category and three third prizewinners, one in each video category.

 If you already have an existing video, you can get help editing it for the contest. So get busy people, get creative and have fun because the winner just might be you!

Baptism

On Sunday, August 2nd I baptized my daughter Cinderella and granddaughter Butterfly. I was most honored and did so in memory of  my grandson, Lolly Pop Kid.

We are the thirteenth group in the video. It was a wonderful day. You have to wait a few seconds. But it is worth it.

Keep 'em Safe

I came across an article about an 11 year boy whose father is deployed to Afghanistan. Xavier Johnson misses his dad very much just as many other children that have parents  deployed to war zones.

Xavier found a way to cope by making a rap song about his father's deployment. He preformed the song at a number of military talent shows and he and his father, Capt. Alfonso Johnson made a video and posted it on YouTube.

I found it very inspriring and I am sure most of you will too. If you are military and have children please let them watch this video. Perhaps it will make them feel a little more comforted knowing they are not alone. Many of these kids feel exactly as Xavier does.

Even if you are not military please pass this video on.

Last Sunday on the Country Music Awards, this video was played. It is performed by Trace Adkins. It features the Patriot Guard Riders on missions to honor fallen military members. Since I am a member I can really appreciate it's significance. These people are true patriots and many are vets themselves. Following the video are a few pictures of some of the missions I have been on to honor fallen military.

I am in some of the pictures. Just look for the non-biker looking girl.

It's a Catspiracy

I was talking to few people at work and we got on the subject of cats. What we learned was we all have a cat that wakes us up at 4:00 in the morning to eat. Some of the cats jump on us while some stand on our backs. Other cats knead their paws on us but then some just reach out and smack us in the face. My cat has even gone as far to knock over a glass of water on the night stand in order to wake me up. One time she woke up my dog because she knows I won't ignore him since he will hike his leg if given the chance. I thought that was pretty inventive.

What I wonder is how come they all wake up at 4:00? Is this an agreed upon rule? Is it passed on from mother to kitten.

"Hey don't forget my little one to torture your owner at 4:00 am everyday. Weekends included."

So I have this video and watch and see if this is your cat too!



Don't forget to hide all your lethal weapons in your bedroom. It's only a matter of time...
